SWBX ball cutter is a tool that cuts forcefully and walks quietly, and can stably complete roughing~semi-finishing of general materials, high hardness materials, and surfacing materials in mold profiling machining.
There is a unique shaped half-way convex-concave key designed on the blade of the cutter body, which firmly fixes the blade and ensures the integrity of the cutting edge of the main bearing part during machining. It can also effectively inhibit the displacement and tampering of the insert, and the insert repeatability of high positioning accuracy, combined with the negative angle type axis forward angle design, to further improve the rigidity, stable response to a variety of materials being machined roughing to semi-finishing machining.
Since the cutting edge that carries the center part of the cutting process (we define it as the main edge) is subjected to a large load and a large amount of machining, its degree of damage is greater than that of the other edge (we define it as the secondary edge), which leads to inconsistency in the durability of the two edges, the SWBX, as in the past, adopts the structure of the main edge and the secondary edge in a separate configuration to ensure that the edge of each blade can be fully utilized to maximize the conservation of earth's resources. The SWBX is also designed to maximize the use of the earth's resources.
Two types of blades are available: low resistance type (HM/HS) and edge-strengthening type (MMW/MSW) (with main and secondary edges, respectively).
The R-accuracy of the edge profile is 0.01~0.03, which even exceeds that of some manufacturers' single-edged finishing ball-end cutters. Roughing, semi-finishing is not a problem, and even in some programs can achieve the requirements of finishing.
The inserts are available with [YCE240] coating and [YCP118] coating. They are suitable for a wide range of machined materials such as common steel, pre-hardened steel, 50-65HRC surfacing materials, hardened steel and cast iron.
There are two types of cutter body specifications: interchangeable head type and shank type.
