JOY [Type 11 EXSAP/MSX]
Roughing~finishing square-shoulder cutting field makes it possible for the user's goal of productivity improvement in every situation.
EXSAP/MSY-11 Features
The [EXSAP/MSX 11 type] is a machine-clamped square-shoulder milling cutter with an axial maximum depth of cut of up to 10 mm.
The multi-flute design of the small inserts not only realizes high-speed machining, but also combines high rigidity and low resistance, making it suitable not only for square shoulder milling, but also for plane cutting, grooving, inclined plunge machining, and helical machining.
The blades are double-sided for a total of 4 edges, making them highly economical! In addition, the high precision peripheral grinding makes the outer diameter of the insert half as accurate as conventional inserts, resulting in higher overall accuracy! It also has excellent sharpness and can be used not only for roughing, but also for semi-finishing and finishing.
In addition, as shown in the figure below, the peripheral cutting edge of the insert has a rounded shape, so even if the axial depth of cut is increased, the difference in the height of the peaks and valleys between the travelling tools can be minimized, making it possible to perform vertical wall machining with a high degree of perpendicularity and high precision.
The PM chipbreaker for steel machining ensures cutting edge strength, and at the same time, it has a large chipbreaker angle with low cutting resistance characteristics of more than the same level for single face type tools.
The inserts are coated with the YCP series of coatings, which have high hardness, excellent oxidation resistance and chipping resistance.
The inserts are made of highly versatile [YCP150], which consists of an alloy base material with excellent chipping resistance, and [YCP118], which is a highly wear-resistant material that can cope with general steel to 50HRC hardened steel.
The new SL chipformer for machining titanium and high-temperature alloys has a sharper cutting edge and extremely low cutting resistance compared to the PM chipformer mentioned above.
The inserts are coated with [YCT550] material, which has good adhesion and thermal shock resistance, and [YCT518] material, which has excellent wear resistance. And the newly developed DS1 coating series, DS1 coating can make the cutting heat less likely to accumulate on the tip of the insert, improve the resistance to fusion adhesion of the material to be cut, and effectively inhibit the stripping of the coating.
In the machining of titanium alloys, it realizes a long life that is 1.5 times longer than conventional coatings and 2.5 times longer than coatings of other companies, and in the machining of heat-resistant alloys, the tool wear is less than that of conventional coatings, and the life is longer.
Tool diameters range from φ16 !φ100.
There are 4 types of inserts:
PM chipbreaker (YCP150, YCP118) and SL chipbreaker (YCT550, YCT518, DS118, DS150), with corner R sizes of R0.4, R0.8 and R1.6.
